ICBC Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) Rehabilitation
Welcome to the ICBC Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) Rehabilitation Program. In this program, we will be discussing the various steps involved in rehabilitating yourself after a motor vehicle accident. We understand that being involved in a motor vehicle accident can be a traumatic and overwhelming experience. Our goal is to provide you with the necessary information and resources to help you recover physically, mentally, and emotionally from the accident.
The Insurance (Vehicle) Regulation and the Enhanced Accident Benefit Regulation outline the specific number of pre-authorized treatments. ICBC customers are entitled to receive ICBC funding for these pre-authorized treatment sessions within the first 12 weeks following their crash, without requiring ICBC approval. It is important to note that the number of pre-authorized treatment sessions also includes the initial assessment visit.
Customers are allowed to receive one treatment per day from the same type of practitioner, but there are no limitations on the combination of pre-authorized treatments. For instance, a customer can have a kinesiology treatment and a massage treatment on the same day, but not two kinesiology treatments.
