What to know
For residents of Sunshine Hills, keeping active is part of daily life, and if a sports injury, chronic hip pain, or lower back strain is keeping you from the golf course or the walking trails around the neighbourhood, our registered physiotherapists Jinder Hoonjan, Mukul Kaushik and Amit Deva offer dedicated support at our nearby Scott Road clinic. Sunshine Hills is a well established, largely residential area with a notably active, outdoors oriented population, and our caseload from the neighbourhood reflects that, with a meaningful share of golf, tennis and walking related overuse injuries alongside the general aches of an active retirement or busy family life.
Golfer's elbow, rotator cuff irritation, and the hip and knee loading that comes from regular walking or hiking are among the most common presentations we see from Sunshine Hills. Our physiotherapists conduct thorough movement assessments to identify the specific joint limitations and muscle weaknesses behind your pain, then design customized treatment programs combining hands on manual therapy with progressive strengthening to rebuild your physical resilience and get you back to the activities you enjoy. For chronic hip or lower back strain, we focus on correcting the movement pattern that is loading the joint unevenly rather than just easing the immediate discomfort.
If your injury is the result of a motor vehicle collision, ICBC Enhanced Care pre approves 25 physiotherapy sessions within the first 12 weeks, direct billed with zero out of pocket cost.
Our Scott Road clinic is an easy commute from Sunshine Hills via 64 Avenue or Nordel Way, with direct billing support for most major Canadian insurers and flexible morning, evening and weekend appointment availability.

Jinder Hoonjan
Registered Physiotherapist
Jinder graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2010 and has since developed extensive experience helping patients manage pain, recover from injury, and improve their physical function. Her philosophy centres around active rehabilitation. Jinder believes that hands-on treatment can be an important part of recovery, but lasting progress also comes from restoring strength, movement, and confidence, and her treatments commonly combine manual therapy, soft tissue techniques, and individualized exercise prescription. She is also certified in acupuncture and may incorporate it into a patient's treatment plan when appropriate. She works collaboratively with patients to establish achievable rehabilitation goals and progressively build toward them, focusing not simply on short-term symptom relief but on helping patients regain the ability to participate more comfortably in work, recreation, exercise, and everyday life. Outside of the clinic, Jinder enjoys spending time with her family, working out, and being outdoors.

Harpriya Luther

Harpriya is a Physiotherapist who completed her Bachelor of Physiotherapy at Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU) in 2015. She has pursued additional training and holds certifications in dry needling, cupping therapy, K-Taping, shockwave therapy, vestibular rehabilitation, female pelvic health, and the McKenzie Method for spinal conditions. Harpriya combines hands-on techniques with exercise-based rehabilitation and education. She begins by assessing how a patient's symptoms are affecting their movement and daily activities and then builds treatment around the findings of that assessment, with a particular interest in helping patients understand their condition rather than simply treating symptoms. Harpriya continues to pursue professional education and broaden her clinical skills so she can offer patients a range of treatment options appropriate to their condition and recovery goals. Outside of work, she enjoys travelling, experiencing different cultures, and spending time with family and friends. She is fluent in English, Punjabi, and Hindi.

Amit's experience spans musculoskeletal and sports injuries, vestibular and concussion-related conditions, age-related and degenerative conditions, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, and complex neurological rehabilitation. His work in spinal cord injury rehabilitation has received recognition at both national and international levels. Amit believes successful rehabilitation begins with understanding what a patient wants to get back to doing. He establishes realistic, functional goals and develops a treatment plan around the patient's abilities, lifestyle, and stage of recovery. Depending on the condition, treatment may involve manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, shockwave therapy, cupping, Kinesio taping, laser therapy, TENS, IFT, ultrasound, and other rehabilitation strategies.
