What to know
Central Abbotsford's mix of office, retail, and government workers brings a specific pattern to Dr. Alex Sattar's chiropractic practice at Revive Rehab's Gladwin Road clinic: hours of sitting followed by sudden movement, rather than a single acute injury. Dr. Sattar, raised in Abbotsford and trained at the University of the Fraser Valley and the University of Western States, treats the joint restriction that builds from that pattern rather than just the flare-up.
What Causes Desk-Related Back and Neck Pain?
Prolonged sitting shortens the hip flexors and rounds the thoracic spine, which shifts load onto the lower back and neck when you finally stand or twist. Dr. Sattar's adjustments target the restricted segments directly, paired with soft-tissue release for the muscles that have tightened to compensate.
Who Should Book From Central Abbotsford?
Office and government workers with recurring low back or neck stiffness, retail staff on their feet most of a shift, and anyone whose pain worsens after long stretches of sitting or standing are common patients here.
How Long Until You Feel a Difference?
Most desk-related stiffness responds within a handful of visits once the restricted segment is identified. Results tend to hold better when paired with simple movement changes at your desk, which Dr. Sattar reviews with you directly.
How Much Does a Visit Cost?
Pricing differs between your first assessment and follow-up adjustments. Revive Rehab checks your extended health benefits ahead of your visit and bills the covered portion directly to your insurer.

Dr. Alex Sattar
Chiropractor
I was raised in Abbotsford since moving from the Philippines when I was 6 years old. I am proud to call this community home after all these years. Sports has been a big part of my life and I wanted to continue with that connection with sports as I got older. I have played football for almost 21 years and counting. Ranging from high school to the Canadian Junior Football League to now touch football on weekends. I also play tennis and have recently picked cycling as a new hobby. Having been in sports for so many years I have met a lot of Chiropractors. That is why I made the decision to become a Chiropractor. I graduated from the University of the Fraser Valley with my Bachelor of Kinesiology and then went to the University of Western States in Portland where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science as well as my Doctor of Chiropractic. As a chiropractor I look at the body as a whole. We have always been told that everything is connected, and that statement definitely is true. I work a lot of the soft tissues the move our body as well as adjusting the many bones that hold our body together. I use many techniques to work on soft tissues such as Cupping, Pin and stretching, and massage. I can adjust the spine or other parts of the body manually or mobilize the joints depending on patient preference.
