What to know
East Abbotsford's established, mature neighbourhoods bring a different pattern of patients to Dr. Alex Sattar's chiropractic practice — long-time residents managing age-related joint stiffness and mobility changes, alongside the usual mechanical back and neck pain. Dr. Sattar takes a whole-body approach, working from the idea that a stiff hip or shoulder often changes how the spine moves too.
What Can Chiropractic Care Do for Age-Related Stiffness?
Manual adjustment and joint mobilization aim to restore movement in restricted joints rather than force flexibility that is not there. For long-standing stiffness, this is usually a gradual process built around what a joint can tolerate that day, not a one-visit fix.
Who Should Book From East Abbotsford?
Older adults managing reduced mobility or recurring joint stiffness, long-time residents with chronic low back pain, and anyone recovering from a fall or strain are typical patients from this part of the city.
How Long Does Treatment Take for Longstanding Stiffness?
Expect a longer course of care than for a fresh strain, since tissue that has been restricted for years needs to be retrained gradually. Dr. Sattar reassesses progress at each visit rather than committing you to a fixed number of sessions upfront.
How Much Does a Visit Cost?
Cost depends on assessment type. Many extended health and retiree benefit plans cover chiropractic care in part, and Revive Rehab confirms this and bills your insurer directly.

Dr. Alex Sattar
Chiropractor
I was raised in Abbotsford since moving from the Philippines when I was 6 years old. I am proud to call this community home after all these years. Sports has been a big part of my life and I wanted to continue with that connection with sports as I got older. I have played football for almost 21 years and counting. Ranging from high school to the Canadian Junior Football League to now touch football on weekends. I also play tennis and have recently picked cycling as a new hobby. Having been in sports for so many years I have met a lot of Chiropractors. That is why I made the decision to become a Chiropractor. I graduated from the University of the Fraser Valley with my Bachelor of Kinesiology and then went to the University of Western States in Portland where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science as well as my Doctor of Chiropractic. As a chiropractor I look at the body as a whole. We have always been told that everything is connected, and that statement definitely is true. I work a lot of the soft tissues the move our body as well as adjusting the many bones that hold our body together. I use many techniques to work on soft tissues such as Cupping, Pin and stretching, and massage. I can adjust the spine or other parts of the body manually or mobilize the joints depending on patient preference.
