What to know
Mill Lake Park and the Sevenoaks area sit close to Revive Rehab's Gladwin Road clinic, and a good share of the walkers, joggers, and dog owners who use the Mill Lake trail end up seeing Dr. Alex Sattar for chiropractic care after a fall, an overuse strain, or ordinary mechanical back pain. Dr. Sattar was raised in Abbotsford, studied kinesiology at the University of the Fraser Valley, and completed his Doctor of Chiropractic at the University of Western States.
What Does a First Chiropractic Visit Involve?
Your first appointment starts with a history of the problem and a movement assessment — testing how your spine and joints move, not just where it hurts. Dr. Sattar then performs an initial adjustment or mobilization and explains what he found in plain language before you leave.
Who Benefits Most From Chiropractic Care Here?
Regulars on the Mill Lake trail dealing with a rolled ankle or sore lower back after a run, Sevenoaks shoppers with standing-related fatigue, and anyone with ordinary desk-job neck or back pain are all common patients. Athletes are welcome too — Dr. Sattar played competitive football for over 20 years.
How Long Does Treatment Take?
A straightforward strain or joint restriction often responds within one to three visits. More established issues, or ones tied to years of the same movement pattern, take a longer course of care with reassessment at each visit.
How Much Should You Expect to Pay?
Visit cost depends on whether it is your first assessment or a follow-up. Revive Rehab checks your extended health coverage before your visit and bills your insurer directly for the covered portion.

It sits centrally between Mill Lake and Sevenoaks, with ground-floor access and free plaza parking. Because Dr. Sattar is the clinic's only chiropractor, you see the same practitioner at every follow-up rather than being shuffled between providers.

Dr. Alex Sattar
Chiropractor
I was raised in Abbotsford since moving from the Philippines when I was 6 years old. I am proud to call this community home after all these years. Sports has been a big part of my life and I wanted to continue with that connection with sports as I got older. I have played football for almost 21 years and counting. Ranging from high school to the Canadian Junior Football League to now touch football on weekends. I also play tennis and have recently picked cycling as a new hobby. Having been in sports for so many years I have met a lot of Chiropractors. That is why I made the decision to become a Chiropractor. I graduated from the University of the Fraser Valley with my Bachelor of Kinesiology and then went to the University of Western States in Portland where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science as well as my Doctor of Chiropractic. As a chiropractor I look at the body as a whole. We have always been told that everything is connected, and that statement definitely is true. I work a lot of the soft tissues the move our body as well as adjusting the many bones that hold our body together. I use many techniques to work on soft tissues such as Cupping, Pin and stretching, and massage. I can adjust the spine or other parts of the body manually or mobilize the joints depending on patient preference.
