What to know
West Abbotsford's residential streets and school sports fields send a steady mix of parents and young athletes to Dr. Alex Sattar's chiropractic practice at Revive Rehab. Dr. Sattar, who played football from high school through the Canadian Junior Football League, has a particular interest in the joint and spine strain that comes with youth and recreational sport, alongside ordinary parenting-related back pain.
What Sports Injuries Does Chiropractic Care Address?
Joint restriction and soft-tissue strain from running, contact sport, and repetitive movement respond well to manual adjustment combined with soft-tissue work like cupping and pin-and-stretch. Dr. Sattar treats the whole kinetic chain, not just the joint where the pain shows up.
Who Should Book From West Abbotsford?
Youth athletes with recurring joint stiffness, parents with low back strain from lifting car seats and toddlers, and adults returning to recreational sport after a break are common patients from this neighbourhood.
How Long Does Recovery Typically Take?
A straightforward sports strain often improves within a handful of visits. Growing athletes are reassessed regularly since a young, still-developing body responds differently to treatment than an adult's.
How Much Does a Visit Cost?
Cost depends on assessment versus follow-up visit type. Revive Rehab confirms your extended health coverage before your appointment and bills your insurer directly for the covered amount.

Dr. Alex Sattar
Chiropractor
I was raised in Abbotsford since moving from the Philippines when I was 6 years old. I am proud to call this community home after all these years. Sports has been a big part of my life and I wanted to continue with that connection with sports as I got older. I have played football for almost 21 years and counting. Ranging from high school to the Canadian Junior Football League to now touch football on weekends. I also play tennis and have recently picked cycling as a new hobby. Having been in sports for so many years I have met a lot of Chiropractors. That is why I made the decision to become a Chiropractor. I graduated from the University of the Fraser Valley with my Bachelor of Kinesiology and then went to the University of Western States in Portland where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science as well as my Doctor of Chiropractic. As a chiropractor I look at the body as a whole. We have always been told that everything is connected, and that statement definitely is true. I work a lot of the soft tissues the move our body as well as adjusting the many bones that hold our body together. I use many techniques to work on soft tissues such as Cupping, Pin and stretching, and massage. I can adjust the spine or other parts of the body manually or mobilize the joints depending on patient preference.
