What your Enhanced Care claim covers here
Twenty five physiotherapy sessions and twenty five chiropractic sessions are pre authorized within the first twelve weeks of your accident date, along with twelve sessions each of massage therapy, active rehab, acupuncture and clinical counselling. You do not need a doctor to refer you first, and coverage applies whether you were driving, riding as a passenger, cycling or walking at the time of the crash.
Our Clearbrook front desk bills ICBC electronically for sessions within your pre approved window, so most patients are not charged at the counter for covered treatment.
Why the lower back gets extra attention here
Rear end and highway speed collisions push the body forward and back in a way that can strain the discs, facet joints and deep stabilizing muscles of the lower spine, on top of the neck symptoms most people expect. A published review of exercise based approaches for low back pain found consistent support for targeted strengthening and movement retraining as an effective way to reduce pain and prevent it from becoming chronic, which is the same principle our physiotherapists apply once your acute symptoms allow for loading the area safely.
For patients whose crash related symptoms extend into pelvic or core weakness, our on site pelvic health suite offers a private, more specialized assessment that a general treatment room does not always allow for.

Your first visit at Clearbrook
Claim setup at the front desk
We record your ICBC claim number and accident date so billing can begin from your very first appointment.
Full spinal and movement assessment
Your physiotherapist checks your neck, back and hips in detail, given how often the lower spine is involved in Highway 1 collisions.
A plain language diagnosis
You will leave understanding what was found, what recovery typically looks like, and what happens next.
Treatment begins immediately
Hands on therapy and guided movement work start in your first session, not only assessment.
A coordinated recovery plan
Chiropractic care, counselling or a pelvic health referral can be arranged within the same clinic if your assessment points that way.
Direct billing at Clearbrook
Treatment that falls within your pre approved Enhanced Care allowance is billed straight to ICBC, so most patients pay nothing at the counter. If something you request falls outside your automatic allowance, our team will tell you before treatment starts.
Frequently Asked Questions
Highway 1 through Abbotsford carries a heavy mix of commuter and freight traffic, and a large share of the collisions our patients describe are rear end impacts at higher speed, which tend to load the lower back and hips more than lower speed city collisions do.

That is fine. You can choose any Enhanced Care registered clinic in the province for your treatment, so Fraser Valley residents from Mission, Chilliwack or Langley often choose Clearbrook if it is closer to their work or family.
Yes. Both physiotherapy and chiropractic care are offered at Clearbrook, and many patients recovering from a collision use a combination of the two depending on what their assessment finds.
Your physiotherapist can submit a progress report requesting additional ICBC funded sessions based on your documented recovery, so ongoing need does not automatically mean an end to coverage.
