What to know
Double Poplar's newer residential streets in south Abbotsford are home to a lot of young families, and Dr. Alex Sattar sees a corresponding pattern of patients at Revive Rehab — new parents with low back strain from lifting car seats and toddlers, alongside expecting mothers managing pregnancy-related joint changes.
What Does Chiropractic Care Address for New Parents?
Repeatedly lifting a growing child, feeding in awkward positions, and disrupted sleep all place uneven load on the lower back and hips. Dr. Sattar's adjustments target the specific restricted joints this creates, alongside practical advice on lifting mechanics for daily parenting tasks.
Who Should Book From Double Poplar?
New and expecting parents with low back or pelvic strain, young families managing the physical demands of childcare, and anyone with ordinary mechanical back pain are common patients here.
How Long Does Treatment Take?
Most parenting-related strain improves within a handful of visits once the specific movement pattern causing it is identified. Ongoing care is adjusted as your child grows and your daily physical demands change.
How Much Does a Visit Cost?
Cost varies between an initial assessment and a follow-up. Revive Rehab confirms your extended health coverage ahead of your visit and bills your insurer directly for the covered portion.

Dr. Alex Sattar
Chiropractor
I was raised in Abbotsford since moving from the Philippines when I was 6 years old. I am proud to call this community home after all these years. Sports has been a big part of my life and I wanted to continue with that connection with sports as I got older. I have played football for almost 21 years and counting. Ranging from high school to the Canadian Junior Football League to now touch football on weekends. I also play tennis and have recently picked cycling as a new hobby. Having been in sports for so many years I have met a lot of Chiropractors. That is why I made the decision to become a Chiropractor. I graduated from the University of the Fraser Valley with my Bachelor of Kinesiology and then went to the University of Western States in Portland where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science as well as my Doctor of Chiropractic. As a chiropractor I look at the body as a whole. We have always been told that everything is connected, and that statement definitely is true. I work a lot of the soft tissues the move our body as well as adjusting the many bones that hold our body together. I use many techniques to work on soft tissues such as Cupping, Pin and stretching, and massage. I can adjust the spine or other parts of the body manually or mobilize the joints depending on patient preference.
