What to know
Highstreet Shopping Centre's retail and service workers spend most of a shift on their feet on hard flooring, which shows up as a specific pattern in Dr. Alex Sattar's chiropractic practice — lower back fatigue and foot-related strain that travels up the kinetic chain. Dr. Sattar treats this with spinal adjustment alongside soft-tissue work targeting the hips and lower back.
What Causes Standing-Related Back Pain?
Standing on hard floors for a full shift, often without changing position much, loads the lumbar spine and hips differently than sitting does. Over months, this can create joint restriction that a day off does not fully resolve.
Who Should Book From Highstreet?
Retail and food service staff with recurring low back or hip stiffness, shoppers with an old joint injury flaring up after a long day, and anyone with ordinary mechanical back pain are common patients from this area.
How Long Does Treatment Take?
Most standing-related stiffness improves within several visits, though ongoing shift work means maintenance care is often part of a realistic long-term plan rather than a one-time fix.
How Much Does a Visit Cost?
Cost depends on assessment type. Revive Rehab confirms your extended health coverage before your visit and bills your insurer directly for the covered amount.

Dr. Alex Sattar
Chiropractor
I was raised in Abbotsford since moving from the Philippines when I was 6 years old. I am proud to call this community home after all these years. Sports has been a big part of my life and I wanted to continue with that connection with sports as I got older. I have played football for almost 21 years and counting. Ranging from high school to the Canadian Junior Football League to now touch football on weekends. I also play tennis and have recently picked cycling as a new hobby. Having been in sports for so many years I have met a lot of Chiropractors. That is why I made the decision to become a Chiropractor. I graduated from the University of the Fraser Valley with my Bachelor of Kinesiology and then went to the University of Western States in Portland where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science as well as my Doctor of Chiropractic. As a chiropractor I look at the body as a whole. We have always been told that everything is connected, and that statement definitely is true. I work a lot of the soft tissues the move our body as well as adjusting the many bones that hold our body together. I use many techniques to work on soft tissues such as Cupping, Pin and stretching, and massage. I can adjust the spine or other parts of the body manually or mobilize the joints depending on patient preference.
